  i will try to post a link.. jtg.. australia.. institutions refusing to join the national redress scheme are "doubling down" on the crime of child sexual abuse, prime minister scott morrison says.. mr morrison and social services minister anne ruston have warned institutions they may lose funding and tax concessions if they fail to sign up by tuesday's deadline and will be named and shamed.. "all institutions are doing in not joining is doubling down on the crime and doubling down on the hurt," they said in a letter to 25 institutions.. "we consider it to be reprehensible that you have failed to sign up to the scheme.".

  the jehovah's witnesses is among the organisations that has refused to sign up, arguing it does not have the institutional settings of other faith-based institutions that the redress scheme is designed to cover.. senator ruston is set to name the non-participating institutions on wednesday, when she will announce what action the federal government will take against them.. "we urge you to join the scheme not because of concerns about being identified, but because it is the right thing to do," the minister and mr morrison said.. "it is the right thing to do by survivors and their families and it is what every, decent, honest, australian demands.".

  Reverse engineering and decompiling is a method of which you turn a computer program back into its original code that a programmer wrote.

  The primary problem is that a lot of metadata (such as comments and function names) are stripped in the process and sometimes the program is optimized to leave out dead code so reverting it won't get you the original code, but a representation of the original code.

  It is legal to decompile code and post it somewhere for "commentary and educational purposes", as long as you don't include the 'binary' (or the final program) that they DO have copyright over and you are not aided by other copyrightable products (eg. the original code) that they likewise have copyright over.

  i have had conversations with many of my friends regarding politics and since we generally view politics in the same way, there is little dissension.

  however i do have some friends that don’t see things properly, my way, and i still like them.🤗lol....i know of some families that have stopped talking to each other because of something as stupid as political differences..

  It seems to me people are being brainwashed and gaslit, especially on the topics of BLM. They say one thing but mean another thing, there is always some explanation why it's "not so bad", defund the police is not really defunding the police, black lives matter is not really only black lives matter, except it always is about fully defunding the police and it is always that only black lives matter.

  CNN has literally turned into the Watchtower. They have been complaining this whole time about Trump sending out Twitters and being loud mouth and talking trash to everyone. This morning headline: "Trump remains silent" - even though he has dozens of Twitters on pretty much any topic, from COVID to left-terrorism. That is just gaslighting.

  This whole woke trend where you have to bow before the mob, and act like the mob and say the right words OR ELSE you'll be shunned or worse, feels a lot like the Watchtower and Jehovah's Witnesses.

  They are literally demanding that you follow their woke cause, regardless if you agree with them or not, and if you don't they will get you fired, they will destroy your business, they will trash talk you.

  This is a cult.

  @slimboyfat, support for Scottish independence has been high since forever, the status quo vote hasn't changed (hovering about 20% since they started keeping track in the 80's and going up to the 40% in the last decade).

  The problem is that the Scots can't agree on HOW they want to separate and what sort of relationship to have with both the EU and UK.
  

  You can't vote for independence and then want to continue being dependent on the EU or want the benefits of the UK but none of the duties. Hence why every vote thus far has failed, nobody actually wants full independence and those that propose partial independence can't agree with the other forms of partial independence.

  @finkelstein: The US has done most of the world's testing per capita, hence why the numbers are so high but the DEATH numbers are so low. Per capita the US is doing better than most of Europe or the world (where they aren't lying at least) in both testing and death rates.

  Is Anyone Happy That Police Forces Are Being Abolished or scut??

  in minneapolis, the city council has voted to abolish the police.. many cities want to either disband or defund the police.

  black lives matter and other groups have influenced citizens and neighborhoods to get rid of police and their authority.

  is anyone really supportive of removing the police or cutting out law enforcement through the budget?

  Camden NJ is a model often pushed by the left, until they realize that not only did they not replace the police, they doubled the police force. They did abolish the police union though and now hire and promote based on merit instead of seniority.

  If by defund the police you mean doubling the police, I think you can't spell right.

  Defund the police means exactly that, defunding the police departments. Like they pushed in St. Louis, the mayor of St. Louis said it right: “Here’s one that wants $50 million to go to Cure Violence, $75 million to go to Affordable Housing, $60 million to go to Health and Human Services and have zero go to the police.” She gave several examples of proposals which all say zero to the police.

  Or in NYC: Calls to “defund the police” have resonated with the City Council, where the speaker has proposed cutting $1 billion from the department’s $6 billion budget and reducing the uniformed force. Protesters and others have demanded that cuts go further, and have put up an encampment in City Hall Park.

  So no, it's not just a small redirection, they want ALL funding to be GONE. As with everything, it's never enough for the left, you give them $1B, they want $2B, you give $2B, they'll want $6B.

  On a side note, I was at my FFL to pick up a firearm yesterday - I waited in line for 2 hours. I'm in a major Democrat area, 80-90% of people vote blue here, and yes, it wasn't just redneck Republicans. A gay black couple, a few black women, immigrants, Joe Biden t-shirts, they're all waiting 2h in line (although I was also in line with people with US flagged masks, so those were Republicans). And everywhere is sold out of everything, people are stocking up on all sorts of weapons, I can't even get ammo in stock within 300 miles.

  The interesting things about the world today is that as we get more and more reports of lawlessness and brutality against police, the left wing media isn't covering ANY of it.

  CHAZ had 5 shootings, failed and got broken up. No coverage. Atlanta cops stopped responding in protest, no coverage. There is unrest continuously and the media is saying that everyone is lying about it, mayors are in on it, governors are in on it.

  So yes, the poll numbers look good, but at some point this is going to start hitting people. I'm not sure why anyone would blindly believe what CNN has to say, it's like the Watchtower of the left. But once people are shooting in your own backyard, then people will hopefully wake up from the leftist cult.

  I think we still have to see the backlash of these events reflected in the polls. When he picks Kamala and when the left demands them to support defunding the police, his poll numbers will crater. Unless people have gotten so scared to say out loud, even to pollsters that they don't support the left, which I kind of would start believing, if you take the call at work and you say you support Republicans, you could be fired.

  one person yesterday said he lies.

  another person said she hears from her clients in her business that the constant drama and push back from all sides against trump is fatiguing.. i remind people that before this worldwide pandemic, we had the best numbers in jobs.

  r You can say that about all of the above about any President. There are better Presidents and there are worse Presidents. Sure Trump is no Nixon or Reagan, but he also isn't an Obama or Buchanan.

  We have seen Trump manage 2 economic recoveries, 1 after a disastrous administration that led the slowest recovery in world history and 1 after a disastrous virus that shut down the world economy

  We have about as much COVID-19 infections/deaths as a country than many single EU states which are smaller than the average US state.

  The question for all these people bellyaching: Would you rather live in the US right now under Trump or you can pick any Chinese or EU state - if you do, why haven't you moved yet.

  As an immigrant, I can tell you, I wouldn't want to live in the EU right now, my parents still can't move more than a few miles out of their own house, they need papers to go to the beach they live near, they can't bike and people are dying en masse while their overburdened hospitals got ventilators and masks that are fully defective from China. Oh yeah, and that is 'free healthcare', the promise of free is great but not if you can't get it, not if your average wait time for a dentist is 18 months and you can go to the doctor once every other year as a senior. My mother's tooth was split open for 2 weeks before they would see her at an emergency dentist.

  There is actually a challenge open right now for any Hollywood type to give up all their money to a good cause and move to either CHAZ in Seattle or somewhere in China or somewhere in North Korea, any communist/socialist experiment around the world, all moving expenses will be paid.

  Liberals don't care about your business, because businesses have no part in socialism and communism. The entire notion of private business is bad to them, so burning them is good.

  I'm not sure who can still defend the Democratic party and Biden through this. Biden admitted he is willing to withhold federal aid to police departments and condition it on fulfillment of an impossible standard.

  He won't say he is defunding the police, that is still political suicide, but effectively he would do that unless the police falls in compliance with the far-left, which means they don't exist.
